It’s quite funny how many individuals think that people are born with a 3 – 5 octave range, sounding like Whitney Houston. Look, you have to realize that not everyone will be able to become a MEGA singing sensation, but the fact of the matter remains that with a few tips and some practice you most definitely can discover how to sing better.
Here are 3 great tips for those wanting to Learn How To Sing Better
Learn To Control the Volume of Your Voice
Lots of people thing loud is better. This is not the case! Not every song is meant to be sung like Heavy Metal.
Believe it or not, but if you sing softer you will be able to control the quality of your voice much better. Also, you have to remember that you are trying to learn how to sing better, NOT louder.
Sure, loads of people can scream, but not everyone can break it down like Celine Dion or Mariah Carey. You can always work on the power of your voice after you learn to control it properly.
Open Your Mouth More
Many people with pleasant singing voices make this crucial mistake when learning how to sing better.
Not opening your mouth to properly form words when trying to sing will not do you voice any justice. Period! Think about it like this, if you mumble, how can you expect people to understand you let alone sit through a performance.
Need some guidance? You don’t have to look further than the one and only Mr Josh Groban. When he sings, he does so in a manner that you cannot help but understand what he sings. Learn from it!
Try To Control How You Breathe
I’m quite sure that many people out there have experienced the embarrassment of running out of breath or hear their voice break while trying to sing a powerful note. Not nice, hey?
Knowing where the natural breaks in the songs are as well as proper breathing will help you greatly when you learn how to sing better.
At this point you should be well aware that not everyone out there is blessed with a great voice, but you should definitely realize that even the ones that CAN sing need some help too.

Online Singing Lessons – Explode Your Singing Talent
Written by Ruoall on September 1, 2009 – 2:46 am -
You know what? I bet you have thought about taking up offline or online singing lessons in you quest to become a star… I mean, think about it for a minute.
You thinking…?
Good, because if you procrastinate more you are seriously running the risk of hurting your singing career.
Think of all your favorite singers. Do you think they got to where they are today by teaching themselves? No ways! Sure lots of people, and even the stars, went through their own exercises and workouts, but the fact of the matter remains that all of them at some time had singing lessons or online singing lessons. If they hadn’t they would’ve most probably hit a plateau, got stuck and then probably would’ve given up.
So who do I think I am for telling you that you need online singing lessons or a vocal coach?
I realize you might be some of the lucky ones that are already considered a Pro, but wouldn’t you just love being able to separate yourself from the mediocre ones? You might just be starting out, like me not too long ago. Take a page out of my book and learn from my mistakes.
Would you rather try and figure out by yourself:
- What’s important to learn?
- Where to start?
- What exercises to do?
- What could hurt your precious voice?
- What are the bad habits (You know, the ones you CANNOT afford to pick up)
- What octaves are?
- What range you fall into?
- How to train your ear?
- What’s A cappella?
- What’s Falsetto?
- What’s a Diaphragm?
See where I’m going with this?
When you take proper online singing lessons or hire a voice coach, you WILL save yourself a huge amount of time and effort in trying to establish yourself as a fantastic and accomplished singing sensation.
Believe me, there are people out there that will go completely against getting yourself some singing lessons and that’s fine, but look at it as an investment in yourself. Remember, you are doing this for yourself. Yourself and no-one else!
You probably already know what the most important thing to any singer of any level is… Yip, their Voice! You NEED to and HAVE to look after it. At the end of the day your voice is what will make you succeed or fail in your singing career.
Now, before you start getting all worked up and say, “… but I don’t know where to find good online singing lessons” or “I found a coach, but how do I know he’s the right one…?”;
STOP!
Yes, it seems daunting that there are a whole bunch of courses, coaches, programs, lessons, free lessons and so forth out there not to mention all the crooks who claim to be the next best thing after reading a few books. Don’t fear, I’ve got the answer for you. The ONLY answer! Just hang in there for a second, okay?
If you want to invest in property, you would ask a expert who invests in property. If you want to build a house, you would ask a builder. I guess what I’m trying to say here is that to find the best Online Singing Lessons or any singing lessons for that matter, ask and listen to great singers. Successful singers who have already established themselves.
After all, they’ve already got the know-how and experience to be able to point you in the right direction.

I do recommend you look at Online Singing Lessons as opposed to actually going to a vocal coach. Why you may ask. Well it’s quite simple. First of all, it’s expensive. Any good vocal coach can charge anything from $50 per hour upwards. Then you still have to travel. The end result being probably 2 one hour sessions per week plus travel, setting you back about $140 per week.
Add it up… you’ll start realizing why I’m against it. Oh, and what happens if you don’t get along with your coach? Do you honestly think it’ll be an enjoyable and fun experience? I think not.
Having the ability to sing at home in a stress-free environment, at your own pace and for much less money just makes more logical sense, don’t you think? I urge you to click here to see what I mean!
The beauty of getting yourself Online Singing Lessons is that you can work at your own pace and time. There is absolutely no reason to travel and waste money. Remember, you own your very own Professional vocal coach FOR LIFE!
The very basics of any singer’s inventory are learning how to use your diaphragm and how to breathe properly. Any vocal course worth its weight in gold will have this as part of the online singing lessons and program. It’s seriously scary just how much you will improve by just focusing on those two things alone. Trust me, your singing voice will reach new heights once you learn how to breathe correctly and control your diaphragm.
If you are really serious about learning how to sing better or just improving your singing voice dramatically, don’t waste any more time. Go check out who these top Grammy Award Winning Artists turn to for expert advice and online singing lessons.
